Re: Violent Incident

Dear Mr. Pilchman:

CWA Local 1081 herein memorializes for your edification an unfortunate incident that occurred on April 26, 2007 within the Military Park Citizen Services Center's reception area.

A client named Lon Sulzer had apparently been visiting that office nearly every day that week. Despite his desire to be serviced, according to Family Service Worker servicing him Mr. Sulzer had twice not provided our member requisite documentation to affirm the client's identity. Apparently upset, Mr. Sulzer is reported to have smashed the clear divider within the reception area cracking it with a forceful strike of his fist.

As you aware, April 26th was Bring Your Child To Work Day and, unfortunately, one of member's young daughter witnessed Mr. Sulzer's violent outburst.

CWA Local 1081 requests you provide our Union the brand name of the window divider damaged by Mr. Sulzer and its composite elements. Prior to the landlord ordering a custom-made piece to replace the damaged divider, our Union would request assurances that the replacement is best suited to better sustain the type of attack Mr. Sulzer exhibited. For, where the violent client to have utilized a heavy object instead of his fist we fear that the current divider's composition may not be sufficiently strong to withstand a more violent attack without breaking and perhaps shattering shards of its materials onto our members and/or other clients.
