Re: 11/9/07 Scheduled Negotiations Session

Dear Ms. Capetola:

It is with CWA Local 1081's deepest disappointment that our Union must herein inform the Administration that our bargaining committee shall not be attending the next scheduled negotiations session with the Administration on November 9, 2007.

As you are aware, at the conclusion of our last negotiations session of October 31, 2007 both the Administration and the Union agreed to come to the scheduled subsequent session prepared to present our respective counter-proposals, explanations and information. However, as we uttered utterly unambiguously at the October 31, 2007 session, and as we memorialized within our attached missive of November 2, 2007 written Essex County Treasurer Paul Hopkins, health benefits/prescriptions co-payments demands by the Administration are of paramount concern to our Union and its members.

Respectfully, the Administration's disheartening defalcation of its duty to demonstrate its good faith by providing our Union the abovementioned information within a timely fashion denies our bargaining unit sufficient occasion with which to responsibly, reliably and reasonably prepare for Friday's scheduled session.

Sincerely,

David H. Weiner, President
CWA Local 1081
