Re: Step II Class Action Contractual Grievance

       Violations of PEOSHA

       Article I. Purpose

       Article XXV. Non-Discrimination

      Article XLIX. Safety of Staff

Dear Mr. Nigro:

CWA Local 1081 submits this Step II Class Action Contractual Grievance to protest the County’s invariable and veritable violation of the Public Employees Occupational and Safety Hazards Act, as well as the above cited contractual tenets, as alluded to below:

  1. The County has failed to ensure the fire extinguishers, located within the agency’s three physical plants, have been inspected monthly and properly notated with the initials of the inspector and the dates inspected.
  2. The County has failed to ensure the electrical circuit boards, located within the agency’s three physical plants, have been properly notated so as to correctly correlate the respective switches with their electrical component counterparts.

The resolution CWA Local 1081 respectfully demands to this grievance is for the County to ensure the abovementioned PEOSHA, and contractual, violations are immediately remedied. We seek a hearing, in this regard.

Sincerely,

David H. Weiner, President
