Re: Step II Class Action Contractual Grievance
Propriety of Payment of Salary Increases
Article I. Purpose
Article XIII. Salaries and Compensation
Article VII. Discipline
Article XXV. Non-Discrimination

Dear Mr. Nigro:

CWA Local 1081 submits this Step II Class Action Contractual Grievance on behalf of all of our Union’s members who maintain they were not remunerated accurately, or at all, on April 18, 2008 when they were to respectively receive either an increment pay increase or a one-half step pay increase.

Attached, please find the pay stubs of four members of CWA Local 1081 that shall serve as samples of the pay discrepancies to which we above allude.

The resolution CWA Local 1081 respectfully demands to this grievance consists of the following:

The County shall provide CWA Local 1081 a memorialized recounting of the calculations of every pay increase afforded, or that was to have been afforded, every member of our Union on April 18, 2008.
The County shall financially make whole every member of CWA Local 1081 whom it is determined was not paid properly on April 18, 2008.

We seek a hearing, in this regard.

Sincerely,

David H. Weiner, President
CWA Local 1081
