Re: Step II Class Action Contractual Grievance Withdrawal
Managerial Failure to Provide Infectious Disease Protocols
Dear Ms. Page-Hawkins:
CWA Local 1081 submits this withdrawal of the attached Step II Class Action Contractual Grievance of April 20, 2016 CWA Local 1081 had filed on behalf of all our Union’s members to protest the paucity of protocols then provided them by the Essex County Division of Family Assistance and Benefits-Formerly Division of Welfare regarding how they should react within the workplace to the presence, or even possible presence, of infectious diseases amongst the clients they service and/or amongst their coworkers.
You have indicated within your attached Step II Class Action Contractual Grievance acknowledgment rejoinder of May 11, 2016 that a presentation on infectious disease protocols will be conducted and you included with your riposte the attached flyer asserting that Essex County Medical Director Dr. Rambaran shall conduct two sessions on May 19, 2016, within the first floor reception area of 18 Rector Street, the first session from 9:30 am to 10:15 am and the second session from 10:30 am to 11:15 am. Thus, your reasonable and responsive response has rendered this momentous matter of considerable concern to our Union merrily moot.
CWA Local 1081 urges all of our Union’s members to arrange that they attend one of these two extremely important presentations.
Sincerely,
David H. Weiner, President, CWA Local 1081
