Dear Ms. Davis:

CWA Local 1081 submits this Step II Class Action Contractual Grievance on behalf of our members assigned to the Office of Child Support and Enforcement (OCSE), located within the County-owned Hall of Records building in Newark, to protest the fact that all but three employees' agency telephones have been inoperable for over one week. AASFS Yvonne Cooper's attached Step I Class Action Contractual Grievance denial response dated today is unacceptable to CWA Local 1081 and to our adversely affected members.

Our Union in no fashion holds AASF Yvonne Cooper personally responsible for this untenable circumstance, as we laud her noteworthy efforts to rectify the problem. However, our adversely affected members are nonetheless still precluded from telephonic contact with their clients thus resulting in an inconvenience to staff and an inadvertent denial of their clients' optimal services to which they are both legally and morally entitled.

The resolution CWA Local 1081 respectfully reiterates to this grievance consists of the County expeditiously ensuring the OCSE office's telephones are once more rendered altogether operational. We seek a hearing in this regard.
