Freeholder Board Committees' Reports
Dear Mr. DiVincenzo:
CWA Local 1081 respectfully requests the following committees' reports for the year 2010 that were to have been prepared by the Essex County Board of Chosen Freeholders in 2011 and memorialized and promulgated for its members' edification per the Optional County Charter Law N.J.S.A. 40:41 A-86 and Article 2, Section 2-11 and 2-16 and Article 3, Section 2-20 of the Code of the County of Essex and to comply with the Board's applicable respective resolutions it passed in January 2010:
- Public Safety/Penal Committee.
- Workfirst New Jersey Review Committee.
- Committee to Investigate the Turtle Back Zoo.
- Committee to Review Funding for Public Land.
- Resource Recovery Oversight Committee.
- Recreation Oversight Committee.
- Purchasing Department Review Committee.
- Mosquito Control Committee.
- Committee to Study Land Use.
- Labor Union Oversight Committee.
- Hospital Center Oversight Committee.
- Health Care/Health Benefits Committee.
- Committee to Review and Investigate the Essex County Utilities Authority.
- Economic Development Committee.
- Committee to Investigate the Essex County Improvement Authority.
- Deer Population Control Committee.
- Committee to Review the Code of the County of Essex.
- Affirmative Action Committee.
Please note the attached emailed response our Union received from the County to our attached OPRA request of April 1, 2011 we be provided the Freeholder Board's committee' reports from 2006 through 2009 in which the County maintained that "The Board does not possess specific committee reports for the years 2006 through 2009 as specifically requested". It is CWA Local 1081's fervent expectation that the Freeholder Board took our request of April 1, 2011 to heart and subsequently prepared their committees' reports for 2009 in order to ensure the County's legislative body indeed does conduct its due diligence of reviewing the machinations of the County's Administration.
