Re: Step III Class Action Contractual Grievance
Inequitable Work Assignments
Article VII. Discipline
Article XXV: Non-Discrimination
Article XXX. Work Distribution and Practices

Dear Mr. Ramos:

CWA Local 1081 submits this Step III Class Action Contractual Grievance to protest the fact the County of Essex has yet to redistrict the Westside Citizen Services Center as promised by management in response to our Union 's attached Step I Class Action Contractual Grievance of March 22, 2007 and Step II Class Action Contractual Grievance of March 26, 2007. Management was to have redistricted the Westside office and have provided caseload relief for the CS and CT units by having particularly more evenly distributed work of the CS13 and CT14 districts throughout the entirety of the office. Such managerial assurances are contained within Director Nigro's Step II Class Action Grievance denial response of March 26, 2007 and memoranda to our Union and our affected members by Mr. Fullman dated April 3, 2007 and March 19, 2007, respectively.

The resolution CWA Local 1081 demands to this grievance is for the Westside office to be redistricted, immediately, with an equitable assignment of work responsibilities allocated all applicable staff. We seek a hearing, in this regard.

Sincerely,

David H. Weiner, President, CWA Local 1081
