Re: Weiner v. County of Essex , GRC Complaint No. 2007-150

Dear Ms Mayers:

On behalf of CWA Local 1081, the Union representing the non-managerial employees of the Essex County Division of Welfare, I am withdrawing my request to mediate the above cited matter.

The County of Essex has at last acceded to my attached Open Public Records Act (OPRA) request of May 1, 2007 and has provided our Union the information we requested from the Essex County Department of Education, Training and Employment regarding the following:

1) A recounting of the number of clients serviced by the DEDTE over the past two years.

2) The number, and percentage, of these clients serviced by the DEDTE over the past two years that were placed in job training activities and the number and percentage of them that completed the training.

3) The number, and percentage, of these clients serviced by the DEDTE that were placed within self-sustaining jobs by the training vendors and the respective performances of each of these vendors over the same two years.

4) The number, and percentage, of these clients serviced by the DEDTE that were referred to literacy training agencies contracted by the County of Essex by its One Stop Program.

Sincerely,

David H. Weiner, President, CWA Local 1081
