SUBJECT: Chronicling Aetna Problems
As a cooperative effort in conjunction with Essex County Office of Human Services Director Alan Abramowitz, CWA Local 1081 is requesting all of our members to inform their Union of problems they are experiencing with Aetna.
In particular, in 2011 Aetna changed it's "platform" resulting in an indeterminate number of doctors who were participating with Aetna last year not doing so this year.
CWA Local 1081 has received reports from a number of our Union's members that their doctors are telling them they will no longer accept Aetna coverage because the County's health benefits provider has lowered its fees paid to the physicians.
Our members are requested they email their documentation of such problems with their physicians/Aetna to cwa1081@aol.com or fax them to (732) 988-1081.
