SUBJECT: Contracts Ratified Unanimously!
At the monthly CWA Local 1081 membership meeting held last evening, more than one-hundred members turned out to vote on the changes to the Professional and Clerical contracts negotiated between our Union and the Administration of the County of Essex.
Following a thorough review of the proposed changes to our current contracts and a question/answer period, the contracts’ changes were approved unanimously by a voice vote.
The next steps entail the Administration and CWA Local 1081 signing a formal Memorandum of Agreement for each of our Union’s bargaining groups, after which the contracts will be placed on the agenda of the Board of Chosen Freeholders for their review and approval.
Our Union’s impassioned intent is for the raises to be then paid our members as soon as possible following the Freeholder Board vote. CWA Local 1081 thanks our Joint Negotiations Committee for assisting me with their hard work and dedication to the members of our Union:
