SUBJECT: Severe Snow Conditions & Differing Reactions
Below, please observe two notices contained upon the State of New Jersey’s official web site citing the severe snow storm our state is now experiencing.
1. Governor Christie’s web page contains the following notice:
Please be advised that due to severe winter conditions State Offices will experience a two-hour delayed opening today, February 26, 2010.
- New Jersey Transit’s web page contains the following notice:
With another major blast of winter weather upon us, NJ TRANSIT has mobilized its operations, customer service and police personnel across the state to ensure a ready response to the storm. All NJ TRANSIT bus service in Northern New Jersey (all routes north of I-195 including service in and out of New York) has been suspended until further notice due to weather conditions.
- In stark contrast, the official web site of the County of Essex contains no reference to the snow storm and provides no guidance for the County’s employees and other residents. Below, upon this and the next two pages, are some examples of what is contained upon main web page of the County of Essex’s web site which appear to be Mr. DiVincenzo’s primary focus and concern:
