TO: All CWA Local 1081 Members

FROM: David H. Weiner, President

DATE: August 22, 2008

SUBJECT: Capris Caper Consummated

As per the attached memorandum of August 13, 2008, issued by Department of Citizen Services Director Anibal Ramos, the concerns of many female members of CWA Local 1081 oft expressed to their Union protesting management’s dress code prohibition regarding the wearing of capris on the job have been successfully addressed.

Our Union thanks the members representing CWA Local 1081 on the Tri-Union Appearance Policy Committee, Family Service Workers Iris Hines and Venus Ingram, for their part in helping convince the County the wearing of capris (with the cited conditions) on the job will now be allowed.

CWA Local 1081 thanks, as well, Division of Welfare Director Bruce Nigro and Deputy Director Yvonne Davis for their cooperation in helping to bring the Great County Capris Caper to a contented closure.
